Day 1: Arrive in Chennai

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and explore the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

1. Kapaleeswarar Temple – A beautiful Dravidian-style temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

2. Government Museum – One of India’s oldest museums, featuring art, history, and archaeology exhibits.

3. Marina Beach – Relax at the famous seafront, one of the world’s longest urban beaches.

Day 2: Chennai – Pondicherry (Via Mahabalipuram)

Travel along the scenic East Coast Road with stops at heritage sites before reaching Pondicherry.

1. Arjuna’s Penance – A massive rock relief depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.

2. Pancha Rathas – Five monolithic temples carved from a single rock, representing unique architectural styles.

3. Auroville  Ashram – An international township promoting peace, unity, and spiritual growth.

Day 3: Pondicherry – Thanjavur (Via Kumbakonam)

Journey through the cultural belt of Tamil Nadu to Thanjavur.

1. Royal Palace and Art Gallery – Explore exhibits showcasing Chola-era bronze sculptures and ancient artifacts.

2. Thanjavur Maratha Palace – Discover the grand architecture and royal heritage of this palace complex.

Day 4: Thanjavur – Rameshwaram 

1. Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple: A revered Jyotirlinga shrine where Lord Rama worshipped Shiva, famed for its magnificent and longest temple corridor in the world.
2. Kothandarama Swamy Temple: The sacred site marking Vibhishana's surrender to Lord Rama, and the sole structure to miraculously survive the 1964 cyclone that destroyed Dhanushkodi.

Day 5: Rameshwaram 

Travel to the southernmost tip of India where three seas meet.

1. Vivekananda Rock Memorial – A spiritual monument honoring Swami Vivekananda, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.

Day 6: Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari

Travel to the southernmost tip of India where three seas meet.

1. Vivekananda Rock Memorial – A spiritual monument honoring Swami Vivekananda, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.

Day 7: Kanyakumari – Madurai

Proceed to the temple city of Madurai, known for its rich cultural heritage.

1. Amman Temples – Visit local temples dedicated to the divine mother goddess.

2. Thiruvalluvar Statue – A towering monument celebrating the legendary Tamil poet and philosopher.

Day 8: Madurai – Chennai

Travel back to Chennai with cultural visits en route.

1. Kanya Temple – A sacred temple near Kanyakumari dedicated to Goddess Kanya Kumari.

Day 9: Chennai Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Chennai Airport for your onward journey.
