Tour Itinerary

Day 1: NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok

The journey begins with your arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours.

1. Gangtok: Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax. You can take a leisurely walk around the town and explore the local markets.

Day 2: Gangtok to Lachen

After an early breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and begin your long and scenic journey to Lachen. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, you will visit some beautiful spots.

1. Seven Sister Waterfalls: You will make a stop at the beautiful Seven Sister Waterfalls.
2. Singhik View Point: You will stop at Singhik View Point for a panoramic view of Mount Kanchenjunga and the Teesta River.
3. Chungthang Confluence: You will also visit the Chungthang Confluence, where the Lachen and Lachung rivers meet to form the Teesta River.
4. Lachen: Upon arrival in Lachen, a beautiful village at a high altitude, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 3: Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung

Today is a very long and adventurous day. You will have a very early start to visit Gurudongmar Lake.

1. Gurudongmar Lake: You will drive to Gurudongmar Lake, a sacred high-altitude lake located at an altitude of over 17,000 feet. You will have some time to take in the serene beauty of the lake.
2. Lachung: After your visit, you will return to Lachen for lunch and then drive to Lachung, which is approximately a 2-hour drive. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel.

Day 4: Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok

After an early breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and drive to Yumthang Valley.

1. Yumthang Valley: Visit the beautiful Yumthang Valley, also known as the "Valley of Flowers," which is a paradise for nature lovers. You can also visit the nearby hot springs.
2. Optional: Zero Point: If the weather and road conditions permit, you can take an optional trip to Zero Point, a high-altitude location with a panoramic view of the mountains.
3. Gangtok: After your visit, you will begin your long journey back to Gangtok. The drive takes approximately 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax.

Day 5: Departure from Gangtok

Your tour of the beautiful landscapes of North Sikkim concludes today. After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri) for your onward journey. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours.

Inclusions

1. Accommodation: 2 nights in Gangtok, 1 night in Lachen, and 1 night in Lachung.
2. Meals: Daily breakfast is included in your stay.
3. Transportation: All transfers and sightseeing tours are included as per the itinerary in a private vehicle (e.g., sedan, SUV, etc.).

Exclusions

1. Lunch and Dinner: Meals other than breakfast are not included.
2. Entry Fees: Entry tickets, camera fees, or any other charges for monuments, museums, and parks are not included.
3. Adventure Activities: Charges for activities like yak rides, or any other optional activities are not included.
4. Personal Expenses: Expenses of a personal nature such as shopping, laundry, tips, and phone calls are not included.
5. Travel Insurance: This package does not include travel insurance.
6. Airfare/Train Tickets: This package does not include airfare or train tickets to and from NJP/Bagdogra.
