Day 1: Arrival in Chandigarh - Shimla Transfer

The journey begins with your arrival in Chandigarh, from where you will be transferred to Shimla. The scenic drive to Shimla takes approximately 4-5 hours. After checking into your hotel, you will have the evening to explore the heart of the city.

  1. Mall Road, Shimla: In the evening, you will visit the iconic Mall Road. This bustling street is the perfect place for a leisurely walk, offering a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. You can shop for local handicrafts, woolens, and souvenirs. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and acclimate to the mountain air.

Day 2: Shimla - Kufri - Shimla

Today is dedicated to exploring the scenic beauty and attractions of Shimla and the nearby hill station of Kufri.

  1. Kufri: Known for its lush greenery and stunning views, Kufri is a popular destination for families. You can enjoy horse riding and other activities while admiring the beautiful landscape.
  2. Adventure Park: Visit a local adventure park in Kufri to indulge in a variety of thrilling activities like zip-lining, rope climbing, and more (activities are subject to change and may have an additional cost).
  3. Jakhoo Temple: The highest peak in Shimla, Jakhoo Hill is home to the ancient Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. A giant 108-foot statue of Hanuman stands here, offering panoramic views of the city.
  4. The Ridge: After returning from Kufri, you will visit The Ridge, an open space in the heart of Shimla. It's a great place to witness cultural activities and enjoy the cool evening breeze.
  5. Christ Church: Located on The Ridge, this is one of the oldest churches in North India. Its neo-gothic architecture and beautiful stained-glass windows are a sight to behold.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali Transfer

Prepare for a scenic transfer from Shimla to Manali. This is a long journey, approximately 7-8 hours, but the drive is incredibly picturesque.

  1. Kullu Valley: On your way to Manali, you'll pass through the beautiful Kullu Valley, also known as the "Valley of Gods." You can enjoy the natural beauty of the region, characterized by apple orchards, the Beas River, and dense forests.

Day 4: Manali Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to exploring the major attractions of Manali.

  1. Atal Tunnel: You will drive through the magnificent Atal Tunnel, the world's longest highway tunnel at an altitude above 10,000 feet. This marvel of engineering connects Manali to the Lahaul Valley.

Day 5: Manali Sightseeing

  2. Mall Road and Local Market: The rest of the day is free for you to explore Manali's Mall Road and local markets at your own pace. You can shop for local handicrafts, woolens, and souvenirs.

Day 6: Manali - Dharamshala Transfer via Palampur & Bir Billing

Today, you will be transferred from Manali to Dharamshala. This scenic drive takes approximately 7-8 hours. The journey will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of Himachal Pradesh.

  1. Palampur: You'll pass through Palampur, known as the "Tea Capital of Northern India." The lush tea gardens and beautiful scenery make it a perfect spot for a quick stop.
  2. Bir Billing: You will also pass by Bir Billing, a world-renowned destination for paragliding. The stunning views of the valley from here are unforgettable.

Day 7: Dharamshala Sightseeing

This day is dedicated to exploring the spiritual and cultural hub of Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj.

  1. Dalai Lama Monastery (Tsuglagkhang Complex): This is the official residence of the Dalai Lama. It's a peaceful and spiritual place where you can learn about Tibetan Buddhism and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.
  2. Bhagsunag Temple: This ancient Shiva temple, located near a beautiful waterfall, is a major pilgrimage site and a popular spot for tourists.
  3. Dal Lake: Named after the famous Dal Lake in Kashmir, this small lake in Dharamshala is surrounded by deodar trees and offers a serene environment.

Day 8: Dharamshala - Dalhousie Transfer

After breakfast, you will be transferred from Dharamshala to Dalhousie. This scenic drive takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and proceed for sightseeing.

  1. Khajjiar (Mini Switzerland of India): This stunning meadow, with its serene lake and dense deodar forests, is a popular destination. It's a perfect place for a peaceful walk or to enjoy the scenic beauty.
  2. Ajith Singh Smarak: This memorial is dedicated to the freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh. It's a significant historical site and offers a glimpse into the region's past.
  3. Satadhara Sparkling Springs: These waterfalls are believed to have medicinal properties due to the presence of mica in the water. The seven springs that converge to form the falls make it a beautiful and refreshing spot to visit.

Day 9: Dalhousie Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to exploring the local beauty and history of Dalhousie.

  1. St. John's Church: This Protestant church is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Dalhousie. Its colonial architecture and serene surroundings make it a must-visit.
  2. Panchpula Waterfall: Panchpula, which means "five bridges," is a scenic spot with gushing streams and waterfalls. It is also the memorial of Sardar Ajit Singh. The area is perfect for a nature walk and photography.
  3. Satdhara Falls: You will revisit the Satdhara Falls, which is a great spot to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.

Day 10: Dalhousie - Amritsar Transfer

Today, you will be transferred from Dalhousie to Amritsar. This journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and then proceed to a sightseeing tour of Amritsar.

  1. Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib): Visit the holiest shrine of Sikhism, a magnificent temple with its dome covered in gold. The serene atmosphere and beautiful architecture are an unforgettable experience.
  2. Jallianwala Bagh: Located near the Golden Temple, this historical garden is a memorial to the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It's a place of great historical significance and a sobering reminder of India's freedom struggle.
  3. Gobindgarh Fort: A historical fort with a rich past, Gobindgarh offers a glimpse into the history of Punjab. It now houses various museums, shows, and a vibrant cultural scene.
  4. Attari-Wagah Border Ceremony: In the evening, you will witness the famous border ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border. The ceremony, with its synchronized marches and patriotic fervor, is a unique and thrilling experience.

Day 11: Amritsar Departure

  1. Your grand tour of Himachal Pradesh and Amritsar concludes today. After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
