Day 1: Arrive in Delhi - Transfer to Shimla
The journey begins in Delhi with a scenic transfer to Shimla, a drive that takes you from the plains to the majestic mountains. The estimated travel time is approximately 7-8 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon arrival in Shimla, check into your hotel and take some time to relax and acclimate to the cooler climate. Later, you'll embark on a sightseeing tour of Shimla's most iconic spots.
- Shimla State Museum: This museum, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on Mondays and holidays), offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Himachal Pradesh. You'll find a collection of ancient artifacts, traditional art, and historical documents.
- The Ridge of Shimla: A large open space in the heart of Shimla, The Ridge is the hub of all cultural activities and offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll and a great place to soak in the atmosphere.
- Scandal Point: Located at the intersection of The Ridge and Mall Road, this point is famous for a captivating, albeit possibly apocryphal, story involving the Maharaja of Patiala and a British Viceroy's daughter. It's a popular photo spot and a place to learn about local lore.
Day 2: Shimla (Sightseeing Tour of Shimla and Kufri)
Today is dedicated to exploring the natural beauty and key attractions of Shimla and the nearby hill station of Kufri.
- The Himalayan Nature Park, Kufri: This park, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on Mondays), is home to a variety of Himalayan flora and fauna. You can spot several animals native to the region in their natural habitat.
- Indira Tourist Park, Kufri: A popular spot for tourists, this park offers a range of activities and is known for its pony and yak rides. It's a great place for families to spend some quality time.
- Jakhoo Hill: The highest peak in Shimla, Jakhoo Hill is famous for the ancient Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. A massive 108-foot statue of Hanuman stands tall here, visible from most parts of Shimla. The temple is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Rashtrapati Niwas (Viceregal Lodge): This historic building, once the summer residence of the British Viceroy of India, is now home to the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. The tours are open on all days except Mondays and public holidays. It offers a fascinating look into the colonial era and stunning architecture.

- Christ Church, Shimla: Located on The Ridge, this is one of the oldest churches in North India. Its neo-gothic architecture and stained-glass windows are a sight to behold. The church is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Day 3: Shimla to Manali Transfer
Prepare for a picturesque journey from Shimla to Manali. The drive is approximately 7 hours, offering stunning views of the Himalayan landscape. Upon arrival in Manali, you will check into your hotel and get ready to explore some of the local gems.
- Hidimba Devi Temple: Tucked away in a cedar forest, this ancient cave temple is dedicated to Goddess Hidimba. The temple's unique wooden architecture, with a conical roof, makes it a must-visit. It is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Manu Temple: Dedicated to the sage Manu, who is believed to be the creator of the human race, this temple is a place of historical and spiritual significance. The temple's pagoda-style architecture is a beautiful sight. It's open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Mall Road, Manali: Similar to Shimla, Manali's Mall Road is the heart of the town's shopping and social scene. You can explore a variety of shops selling local handicrafts, woolen items, and souvenirs, and enjoy a meal at one of the many cafes.
Day 4: Manali (Excursion to Solang Valley)
Today is dedicated to a thrilling excursion to Solang Valley, a haven for adventure enthusiasts.
- Solang Valley: Known for its breathtaking beauty and a wide array of adventure sports, Solang Valley is a key attraction in Manali. Depending on the season, you can enjoy activities like:

- Summer (April-June): Paragliding, zorbing, ropeway rides, and ATV rides.
There is no entry fee to the valley, but individual activities have their own charges.
Day 5: Manali - Delhi Departure
- Your Himachal adventure concludes today. After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and begin your return journey to Delhi. The journey back is approximately 12-14 hours. The tour ends upon your drop-off at either Majnu Ka Tilla or Kashmere Gate in Delhi.
