Day 1: Jaipur Sightseeing
The journey begins with your arrival in Jaipur, the "Pink City" of India. After checking into your hotel, you will begin a tour of the city's most iconic landmarks, which showcase the rich history and culture of the region.
- City Palace: This sprawling complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings is a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. It houses a museum with a remarkable collection of royal artifacts.
- Jantar Mantar: A UNESCO World Heritage site, Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. It features a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments.
- Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds): This iconic five-story palace, with its intricate latticework and windows, was designed to allow royal ladies to observe street festivals without being seen.
- Nahargarh Fort: Perched on the Aravalli hills, Nahargarh Fort offers a stunning panoramic view of Jaipur. It was a retreat for the royal family and is a great spot to watch the sunset.
Day 2: Jaipur Forts and Heritage Tour
Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent forts surrounding Jaipur and getting a feel for the city's vibrant heritage.
- Jaigarh Fort: Known as the "Fort of Victory," Jaigarh Fort is famous for its massive cannon, Jaivana, which was once the world's largest on wheels.
- Amer Fort: A magnificent fort with a blend of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. A visit here often includes an elephant ride up the hill to the fort's entrance.
- Jaipur Heritage Tour: You will take a half-day heritage tour, exploring the vibrant markets and historical lanes of Jaipur, which offers a glimpse into the city's living history.
Day 3: Jaipur to Udaipur Transfer
After an early breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Jaipur and begin a scenic drive to Udaipur, the "City of Lakes." The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours, but you will make some significant stops along the way to break up the journey.
- Ajmer Sharif Dargah: A quick stop in Ajmer allows you to visit the revered Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the tomb of the Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti.
- Pushkar: Visit the holy town of Pushkar, famous for its Brahma Temple, one of the few in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma, and the sacred Pushkar Lake.
- Nathdwara: You will also visit Nathdwara, home to the Shrinathji Temple, a major pilgrimage site for Vaishnavites.
- Eklingji: On the outskirts of Udaipur, you will visit the Eklingji Temple, a beautiful complex of 108 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Day 4: Udaipur Sightseeing Tour
Today is dedicated to exploring the romantic city of Udaipur, known for its beautiful palaces and serene lakes.
- City Palace, Udaipur: A magnificent palace complex located on the banks of Lake Pichola. It's a grand fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, housing a museum with a rich collection of artifacts.
- Fateh Sagar Lake: A beautiful artificial lake with three small islands. You can enjoy a boat ride here or simply take a stroll along the banks.
- Maharana Pratap Smarak: A memorial dedicated to the great warrior Maharana Pratap, located at the top of Moti Magri hill.
- Rakt Talai: Visit the historic battlefield of Rakt Talai, which is a key site from the famous Battle of Haldighati.
Day 5: Udaipur to Mount Abu Transfer
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Udaipur and drive to Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to explore the serene surroundings.
- Mount Abu: Explore the picturesque hill station, known for its cool climate and beautiful natural landscapes. You can take a leisurely stroll around Nakki Lake, visit the ancient Dilwara Jain Temples, or enjoy the sunset from Sunset Point.
Day 6: Mount Abu to Jodhpur Transfer
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Mount Abu and drive to Jodhpur, the "Blue City." The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours.
- Jodhpur City Tour: Upon arrival in Jodhpur, you will check into your hotel and proceed for a short city tour, exploring some of the local areas and markets. You can visit the Mehrangarh Fort, a majestic fort with a rich history and stunning views of the blue city.
Day 7: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer Transfer
Today you will be transferred from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, the "Golden City." The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. Before you leave Jodhpur, you will visit one of its most famous landmarks.
- Umaid Bhawan Palace: You will visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, a magnificent palace that is now a heritage hotel. Its beautiful architecture and museum offer a glimpse into the royal history of Jodhpur.
After the visit, you will continue your drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and soak in the desert atmosphere.
Day 8: Jaisalmer Sightseeing
Today is dedicated to exploring the enchanting city of Jaisalmer, a city that seems to rise out of the Thar Desert like a golden mirage.
- Jaisalmer Fort and Havelis: A visit to the Jaisalmer Fort, a living fort where a significant part of the city's population still resides. You will also explore the beautiful Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, known for their intricate carvings and architecture.
- Jaisalmer War Memorial: Pay a visit to the Jaisalmer War Memorial, a tribute to the soldiers of the Indian Army. It showcases the history of the Indian Army and its contribution to the nation's security.
- Bhadariya Library: Visit the Bhadariya Library, an impressive library with a vast collection of books and ancient manuscripts.
Day 9: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur Departure
- Your tour of the magnificent forts and deserts of Rajasthan concludes today. After breakfast, you will be transferred from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur to catch your onward train or flight from Jodhpur. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours.
